Bright Chrome Plastic Electroplating
Bright chrome plated plastic with environmentally friendly trivalent chrome plating plastic chemistry (RoHS Compliant).Plateable Plastic Resins – ABS is most commonly used for chrome plating plastic applications due to the easy to plate technology and it provides smooth and consistent plastic plating surface finish. The plastic plating uses ABS / PC+ABS plastic material from well-known companies including Samsung Cheil, GE, Chemei and Formosa Tairilac for better plating performances.ABS Plastic (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) is preferred plastic for plating! Cherng Yi Hsing is developing technologies to chrome plate different applications that require superior mechanical properties and higher thermal performance. Plateable Plastic Resins – ABS is most commonly used resin for chrome plating plastic applications due to the easy plating process, and it delivers smooth, bright, shiny, and reflective surface finish. We are able to provide plastic plating with many other plastic resins with functional metal coatings.
Satin Nickel Plastic Electroplating
Cherng Yi Hsing provides fashionable satin nickel finishes as a versatile alternative to standard bright nickel chrome layers or other decorative deposits. Our processes from the Satin Nickel Plating range provide a variety of fine, regular and very attractive surfaces with a silky and matt decorative appearance. Cherng Yi Hsing offers a wide range of nickel plating services including dull, brightened deposits. Cherng Yi Hsing has the ability to underplate with copper plating if required or specified to enhance adhesion and corrosion resistance of the final deposit. For applications that demand the highest in ductility, Cherng Yi Hsing offers a proprietary process Satin Nickel plating. This nickel system was developed by Cherng Yi Hsing's engineering group specifically for application within the Automotive Exterior parts and Interior parts.
Trivalent Chromium Plastic Electroplating
Trivalent chromium and Black chromium is used for consideration of ecology. Deeper hue represents different hue from chromium plating. Cherng Yi Hsing has invested in environmentally responsible surface finishing technologies and can provide a viable alternative solution to hexavalent chromium plating for decorative applications. The Cr3 Plating (Trivalent chrome) processes, purely based on Cr3, In some applications and at certain thicknesses, trivalent chromium plating can replace hexavalent chromium. This is especially true for decorative applications where the trivalent chromium finish can closely resemble the hexavalent chromium finish.The trivalent chromium plating rate and hardness of the deposit is similar to hexavalent chromium plating. Trivalent chromium baths also operate in the same temperature ranges as hexavalent chromium baths. Generally, the range of plating thickness for trivalent chromium is 0.005 to 0.050 mils. Trivalent chromium baths tend to be more sensitive to metallic impurities than hexavalent chromium baths. Impurities can be removed by using ion exchange or precipitating agents followed by filtration.
